How To Stay In The Fight

(This message was preached at Faith Baptist Camp by Pastor David Webb. My (Joshua) comments are in red.)

II Timothy 4:5-7 "But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry. For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:"

What do we need to do to stay in the fight?

I. Be Faithful ~ Hebrews 10:25
We need to stay faithful to church, soul-winning, bus route, choir, etc.

II. Stay Tender ~ Psalm 139:23,24
As Christians, we need to stay tender to the Lord and not grow hardened toward Him. If the Lord convicts or speaks to us during a service, we should go to the altar to maintain the personal relationship with Jesus. The more we resist the Lord talking to us, the more hardened we will grow toward Him.

III. Limit the Obstacles in our Lives ~ Psalm 101
A. TV
B. Music
C. Friends
Allowing wickedness into our lives will produce wickedness from our lives. Galatians 6:7-9

IV. Put God In ~ Philippians 4:8
Get busy doing something for God. Whether it's singing in the choir, preaching in the nursing home, or wiping some little kid's nose while on the bus ~ Stay Busy!! Determine in your heart that you're never going to quit.

STAY IN THE FIGHT!
