"How To Keep On Going"

Psalm 85:11 Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven.

On October 17, 2006, I had the opportunity to hear Dr. Bob Gray from TX preach. I thought it was a very good sermon and something to which we should take heed. He took his text from Psalm 85:11 and titled his message "How to Keep on Going". One of his points was "When you spread the truth, Satan will attack you". He talked a lot about how Satan will begin to attack Christians who are going out soul-winning, passing out tracts, etc. When these attacks come, many Christians will stop. He also talked about Christians who get on fire for God and then die out because of the attacks of the Devil. Dr. Gray challenged us to keep on going whenever Satan attacks and that is what I would like to pass on to you. Whenever Satan jumps on your back and you don't think you can go any further, just keep pressing on. Keep on going for God. Friends will fail you and even family will fail you but thank God, we can turn to HIM for help and guidance as we keep on going for Him.

Satan is very active in trying to knock us down.
I was reminded of some Scripture.
Praise the Lord He warns us and encourages us in His Word.
"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world." 1 Peter 5:8,9

Thank you for sharing this.
By the way, I like the name and intro of your blog.

Welcome back Joshua. I look forward to seeing more from you and Caleb. This is great!! I know that the devil jumps on my back at times and I have (at times) fought the temptation to just throw it all in and give up. But when I do...the Holy Spirit is always good to take me back to Calvary and show me what all my Lord went through and did for ME!!! How can I give up when He has done all He's done...shame on me!!!

HsKube's Gal and Sis Julie,
Last night our pastor continued his series on the armour of God. His message last night was on the shield of faith. One thing he pointed out was the fact that all of our armour protects the front of our body. Therefore, if we turn our backs to run, we are unprotected. So, the best thing we as Christians should do is stay in the battle.
Thanks for your comments.
