Being Fruitful in Soulwinning

I believe most people who are soulwinners desire to be fruitful. The secret to being more fruitful is found in the word, "being." What do I need to "BE" so that I can be more fruitful in seeing people come to Christ?

1. Be Perceptive: God is at work in people's lives all around us. The problem is we miss "divine appointments" because we are too consumed with our own agendas. Every day ask God to lead you and help you see these "divine appointments" as God brings people across your path. The need is great and the timing is right. Jesus told His disciples, "The harvest is great...lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest."
2. Be Passionate: Reaching people with the Gospel is not just for pastors, missionaries, or evangelists. It is for every born again child of God! The Bible says in Luke 19:10, "For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost." Jesus was so passionate about reaching people that He was not going to be stopped by racial, religious, political, or economiccal barriers. These man-made barriers have stopped many people from sharing the truth of the Gospel. However, these obstacles never stopped Jesus, nor should they stop you!
3. Be Positive: One reason you can be positive is that you are being an obedient child of God as you go. Focus on the promises of God. He that sows shall reap! You may not reap today, but if you keep sowing, God promises you will reap!

Hey, guys!

I was just scrolling down your page looking at all the great stuff you have on the side, and I found the NKJV Counterfeit icon, and clicked on it. It is very insightful, but only about the NIV (most of which I already knew), but not the NKJV...are there problems with the latter translation?! I give it out to most people who don't have a Bible, because it is easy to understand, although my Bible has always been a KJV. Thanks in adavnce for clarifying this for me.

Amen thanks for sharing. I look forward to when God gives the increase on visitation. I don't about you but it seems like on are door to door visitaton everyone is saved. I do believe that you need to be persceptive but above that I believe you must be yielded to the Holy Ghost n soulwinning. It is not about 123 pray after me, it is about someone truly getting under Holy Ghost conviction and giving there heart to Christ. I don't ever want to give someone a false assurance that they are saved. Thanks for sharing just thought I get that off my heart.

Thank you so much for the post on the NKJV and other Bible translations. I would encourage you however to discover for yourself a common error in theological thinking and teaching, that the New Testament was NOT originally written in Greek, but in Hebrew...I have just learned that lately from Messianic Jews, and it is very eye-opening! A few verses got lost in the translation, too, like when Jesus said, "My God, why hast thou forsken me?" (I forget now what he really said, but it is VERY different, and quotes Abraham).

Hebrews 11:1, you've got to be careful of any group that comes along and corrects the Bible, or comes along to "restore what was lost." God teaches that He would preserve His Word forever - if it was lost, even parts of it, then He didn't keep His Word!

Some Messianic Jews teach that the NT was originally written in Hebrew (no proof for it whatsoever), so that they can introduce their changes and corruptions. If you look closely, you will also see that they have the "correct" rendering of God's name and of the Messiah's name (of course, it differs from EVERY OTHER Messianic group...). What it is is simple deception - a way to deceive those looking for legalistic rules to follow, those looking for some elite insider's club.

The NT was written in Greek and none of it was lost - we have it all faithfully translated in our King James Bible. Praise the Lord for that!
