"Fruitless Fables of Soul-Winning"

(Here is another devotional outline emphasizing soul-winning helps. It was published in our church's "Go Ye" newsletter which is passed out during each weekly church-wide visitation meeting)
1 Timothy 4:7 "But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness."
1. The Fruitless Fable of "The Gift of Soul-Winning"
"I just don't have the gift of soul winning. I am an introvert and soul winning is not compatible with my personality."
2. The Fruitless Fable of "The Educated Soul Winner"
"I can't go soul winning because I don't know enough Bible."
3. The Fruitless Fable of "The Sinless Soul Winner"
"I am not good enough to go soul winning. I still have sin."
4. The Fruitless Fable of "The Condemning Soul Winner"
"I am afraid that I might say the wrong thing or offend somebody and send them to hell."
5. The Fruitless Fable of "The Unnecessary Soul Winner"
"If God wants to save the lost, He can do it without our help."
6. The Fruitless Fable of "The Soul-Winning Specialist"
"God has only called me to win these people."
7. The Fruitless Fable of "Selective Soul-Winning"
"I don't feel led to talk to him/her."
8. The Fruitless Fable of "Soul-Winning Without Fruit"
"I didn't have anybody saved, so it must not have been God's will."
9. The Fruitless Fable of "Another Soul Winner"
"If God wants to save them, somebody else will talk to them."
10. The Fruitless Fable of "The Finished Soul Winner"
"Everyone around here has already been talked to."
