Casting?...or still carrying?

Today, as I was reading my Bible, I came across a very familiar verse. I Peter 5:7 says, "Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you." As I read that, I began thinking about the times we go through trials such as the loss of a loved one and we don't think we have the strength to go on. It is during these times that I am so thankful we can go to the Lord with our problems. Psalm 55:22 says, "Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved." And in Matthew 6:25-30 we read, "Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? nd why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?" The God Who feeds the birds, makes the flowers grow, etc........that SAME GOD also cares and provides for you. So, the next time you find yourself burdened with the cares of this world and wonder if you can go any further, just give it ALL to the Lord. He WILL take care of you as He promised in His Word!

~Joshua~

LEAVE IT THERE
If the world from you withhold of its silver and its gold,
And you have to get along with meager fare,
Just remember, in His Word, how He feeds the little bird;
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.
If your body suffers pain and your health you can’t regain,
And your soul is almost sinking in despair,
Jesus knows the pain you feel, He can save and He can heal;
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.
When your enemies assail and your heart begins to fail,
Don’t forget that God in Heaven answers prayer;
He will make a way for you and will lead you safely through.
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.
When your youthful days are gone and old age is stealing on,
And your body bends beneath the weight of care;
He will never leave you then, He’ll go with you to the end.
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.
Leave it there, leave it there,
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.
If you trust and never doubt, He will surely bring you out.
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

Joshua all I can say is Amen and Amen! I have just went through a major trial and really still am going through it, but I have learned to cast it on the Lord. First song I ever sang for a solo Leave it there.

I can't say if I've ever heard that song before. The words are wonderful. I try to cast ALL my care upon the Lord...but the question is "Do we really cast it ALL on Him?" Sad to say that we really don't. We think we do but when we get up from prayer we go right back to "worrying" about that thing or not trusting God in it. Shame on us!! Very good post Joshua!!
