1. Have hand of God on them. Biblical.
2. Focused on will of God rather than will of man. Genuine Spiritual growth.
3. Developed an identify and clear mission. Remain true to their mission.
4. Have a since of purpose or calling that drives them. Carry with them a bit of attitude that they have the answer. Why would anyone go elsewhere when they can serve here.
5. Are goal oriented. Know where they want to go. Are able to articulate those goals to others.
6. Able to go from goals to implementation. Organized, organized, organized.
7. Wiliness to change. Not just positive change but willing to admit failures and change accordingly.
8. Have a workable plan and system for evaluation. Built in check points.
9. Team oriented but led by strong leaders. Discovering, training, strategically placing and empowering strong leaders. Unified mission. Leadership and congregation on same page. Leadership that goes before or leads by example (leaders not drivers).
10. Grow by giving birth rather than by adoption.
11. Provide fruit that remains. Throughout church there can quickly be identified those whose lives have been transformed.

Nice list. There are a lot of churches that don't line up with it. Sad.
