Bring Them In

(Here is a devotional outline emphasizing soul-winning helps which is published in our church's "Go Ye" newsletter which is passed out during each weekly church-wide visitation meeting)

1. Bring them into a conversation

A. Introduce yourself
B. Strike up a conversation
C. Key in on common ground
D. Keep the conversation under control

2. Bring them to realize their lost condition

A. Get them to talk about themselves
B. Get them to talk about church
C. Ask them if they would go to Heaven
D. Find out what they are depending upon to get them to Heaven

3. Bring them to trust the Saviour

A. Tell them of the price for their sin
B. Give them God's way out of going to Hell when they die
C. Illustrate how someone can pay the bill for another person's debt
D. Explain their options to them

4. Bring them to the assurance of their salvation

A. Work backward through the plan of salvation (Romans 10:13 "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.")
B. Ask questions as you work backward
C. Use additional assurance verses (John 10:27-29 "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand."
D. Ask them where they would have gone if they had died before they got saved and where they are going now

5. Bring them to church this Sunday

A. Ask them to come to church with you on Sunday morning
B. Remove any excuses
C. Explain a public profession of faith
D. Go back on Saturday and remind them what time you are coming by for them

6. Bring them down the aisle

A. Sit them on the end of the pew
B. Ask them to go to the alter and pray with you
C. Review with them when they got saved
D. Get them to a pastoral staff member for their public profession
