Now enrolling....

As I was reading my chapter in Proverbs for today, this verse seemed to stick out. Pr 15:28 -"The heart of the righteous studieth to answer: but the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil things." The first part of this verse is exhorting us to study so that we can give an answer. Another verse clarifies this thought. I Peter 3:15 says, "But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear." In this verse it says that we should be ready to give an answer to those who ask about the hope that is within us. Now, this phrase is clearly speaking of our hope of salvation. When someone questions us about our salvation, we need to have our answer ready.
One of my siblings shared this recently and we had a good conversation about these passages of scripture. Another verse that was mentioned was II Timothy 2:15 - "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." I think you will agree that these verses, as well as others, clearly teach that we Christians, (no matter our age), need to always be learning from God's Word.
